Before you start
Open a diagram saved to the cloud. Availability depends on the owner's settings, your permissions, and the plan. Anyone with a public link can view the diagram, so check that its content is appropriate to publish.
Steps
Check saving and open Share
Confirm saving has finished, then choose Share → Public Link.... If Not Saved Yet appears, save to the cloud first.
Actual screen: use Public Link... in the Share menu to open publishing settings. Inviting editors is a separate action. What to checkThe diagram is saved to the cloud.
Choose public access
Review the public setting and enable it only for content you intend to publish. This is separate from inviting editing collaborators.
What to checkThe diagram contains only material suitable for publishing.
Test the viewing link
Choose Copy Link. Open it in another tab or a signed-out window to check the recipient view.
What to checkYou checked a sharing link, not the editor URL.
Revoke access when finished
To stop sharing, return to the same settings and make the diagram private. Check that the copied link no longer grants access.
What to checkThe previously copied link no longer grants access.
Check your result
The link shows the intended diagram, and you can turn public access off again.
If something goes wrong
If the link fails, check for an incorrect link, a private setting, or a deleted diagram. If you cannot enable sharing, follow the plan or permission guidance, or export in an available format.
Common questions
Can I just send the editor URL?
For public viewing, use the link from publishing settings and verify the recipient's view.
What if someone should edit too?
Public viewing and collaborator invitations are separate features. Check the invitation option and intended permissions in Share.
