Before you start
Create four steps: Receive, Check details, Return for correction, and Complete. Connect Receive to Check details. Use a practice diagram.
Steps
Choose Decision
Set Type to Decision in the Check details row. Confirm that its canvas shape becomes a diamond.
Actual screen: open the red-boxed Type cell in the Check details row and select Decision. What to checkCheck details is a diamond.
Set the first condition
Open Next Step for Check details. Enter Complete in the first condition label and select Complete as its target step.
Actual screen: click Next Step in the Check details row to configure branch conditions and targets. What to checkComplete points to Complete.
Add a second condition
Choose Add Connection. Enter Missing information in the new condition label and select Return for correction as its target. Check for duplicated conditions or destinations.
Actual screen: configure two conditions and their targets. Complete leads to Complete; Missing information leads to Return for correction. Watch the actual steps
The red box marks where to act or check. Silent video with captions. Video data loads when you press play. The written steps above cover the same operation.
What to checkMissing information points to Return for correction.
Check the branch on the canvas
Save the connection settings. Check that two arrows leave Check details and that each arrow shows the appropriate condition.
Actual screen: Check details is a Decision. Check the two arrows and their distinct conditions. What to checkTwo labeled arrows leave the decision.
Walk through each case
Follow one complete-information case and one missing-information case through the arrows. If corrections require another check, add that return connection from Return for correction. Finally check cloud save status.
What to checkThe next action is clear in either case.
Check your result
Two arrows with distinct conditions reach the intended destinations.
If something goes wrong
Changing the shape to a diamond does not add connections. Add targets in Next Step. Conditions are diagram labels; creating this diagram does not automatically execute an external business process.
Common questions
Are conditions evaluated automatically?
These conditions label the diagram's arrows. They do not evaluate input data or execute a business process.
Can I add more than two branches?
Add the needed targets and distinguish each condition. Review the real process for missing or overlapping cases.
